Sonnet 1 - E

My fictive love, you inspire me to write

How I feel the way you smile, tear and try

Trespass my thoughts, leave footprints in sight

Forever dreaming, each darkness passing by

Let me compare you to a vast ember

More disheartening, upset, sad although

Blossom and burn this leaf of September

For my autumn soul requires your glow

I am held in chains, but still I will hold

This flame within my hand, I let it burn

My skin, and yet my heart will remain cold

Wounds growing deeper, slowly you discern

Love, more mythical than mine prevents me

From falling for you, left silent, on that tree
