A poem about the friend I have left

You

You stayed up with me all night

You texted me when you should be asleep

You told me to put my tub of frosting away

You told me not to eat my feelings

You told me I shouldn't die

You told me I was worth something

You told me you wanted to talk to me

You told me all of these things

You were there for me

I wrote a poem called "You" before

It was my first poem on this site

It was about this guy

Who was a dick

I liked him

For some odd reason

I think I liked him

This poem isn't a love poem

It's a thank you

A thank you for you being my friend

You wouldn't let me call myself weird

You wouldn't let me get depressed

You told me I was worth something

No one's really done that before

You were perfect

Completely perfect

But, inperfect

And you like me just the way I am

No one else does

So

Thank you

For being you
