You can’t have rainbows without a little rain, they say.
So when I wake to the sound of droplets on my roof, and I venture out into the wet streets with raindrops on my windshield I keep in mind that brighter days are to come.
The dull gray skies will soon be replaced by the chirping of birds and blue, sunshiny days.
You don’t know happiness without a little pain, they say.
So when I wake to the blaring of my alarm at an ungodly hour, and drag myself out of bed for a day filled with fake smiles and sad eyes, I keep in mind that better days are to come.
