Today we dwell in darkness,
The wooden floor is whining.
But if we wait a while,
The future will be shining.
You'll learn to leap through puddles,
The cold won't be as bitter.
The breeze will blow broken glass,
And use the shards as glitter.
Don't be afraid of water,
It will dance atop the dust.
Your tears will not tarnish you,
You are gold and cannot rust.
Ribbons remain around you,
Still tight and intertwining.
But once they rip and wear out,
The future will be shining.
