Old and Young

the sound of the old world flies by, and the old man under the sky sighs, his old friends all gone, and this is the only one.

a new brazen brazier smokes in the town, and new folks with new music only frown, for what of the sun? and this is the only one.

and my smile, old and young, cracks with my tasteless tongue, it is shared with none, for it is the last one.
