We started Piper because
I missed the boat to learn this stuff at a young age. I wanted to create a tool that would be accessible to all kids, & that would make technology fun & accessible.
The vision is to
Create the tools that will inspire this generation's Steve Wozniak and Elon Musk. And more broadly, create the tools that inspire kids to see the world as malleable
Inspire kids to create better solutions
to all our challenges as a civilization
Creating a new product or idea & building a company is hard
You don't know the rules going in, and you have to learn everything on the fly before you fail. It's like agreeing to play a new sport blindfolded and learning the rules on the fly.
Learning and adapting quickly enough to course-correct
is the most difficult challenge I face daily
I think the future of education will be:
Kids playing collaborative games and building things together. Basically having fun in a semi-directed way.
