Hushh

Hush.

by parrisgogh

Silence in the night, a temporary death of the city.

Paintings hung up on walls; are to keep the quiet , ear piercing screams of blankness at bay.

Steadily, the moon arises, shining moodily over the river that silently whispers upon the stones.

Porcelain limbs swim in dark- contrasted silk sheets; trusting the closed doors to zip up their secrets.

Tides kissing the shore; capturing more feelings than the shrill ring of wedding bells.

Lingering, floating words shifting in the air, wrap around the heart like a vice; and leaves the mind in want.

Lanky, delicate fingers play the soft tune of Moonlight Sonata..

Letting the piano's voice sing to those hushed souls.
