When I'm bored, sonnets are written.

You

One of the first things I seemed to notice

Was that you radiated life and light

Into every dark room and crevice

No nightmares, bullies, or general stress

Could escape from you, my very best friend

Many have stated you and I are opposites

Repelling and attracting each other

That I'm dark as night, you are bright as day

I always saw us more like a puzzle

While we may not be similar looking

We somehow fit together like two halves

You and I were together for so long

I actually started to forget

That we weren't "together" in that way
