A series of six word stories combined to form one

Six Words

by origami

Knives hurt less than old memories.

It isn’t the same as before.

Can’t you see? I’m the monster.

I’m only here as filler space.

I got lost in my thoughts.

I’m a little lost inside myself.

Growing up was my biggest mistake.

I said things I shouldn’t have.

What makes you think nothing’s changed?

You’re not the one for me.

You are clearly not a hero.

I still sleep alone at night.

Why am I still fighting you?

Sorry, I can’t forgive your lies.

You didn’t realize that I won.

I just happened to have survived.

It feels like I’m still alive.

@sydney I spend a lot of time on tumblr, and about a year ago, six word stories were trending. I really liked the idea of being to convey a story in only six words. It was also an easy enough prompt to put upon myself since I wouldn't have to necessarily sit down and take the time to write a long poem

@origami that's super cool! How did you choose the number 6? Is it from somewhere?

@sydney thanks! it wasn't too hard since I just had been writing down six word stories as I wrote them down. I just took all of the ones I had and put them in an order that seemed cohesive 😊

This is really really cool. Was this hard to pull off? 6 words seems so tough
