What is your greatest desire?
It's a question that requires so much thought, it would be almost impossible to answer. One would suspect it would have to be grand, since it's the one thing you desire the most in your life. Whether that be a goal of money, love, peace, or even happiness. Many people desire material things, money, cars, houses, items, these things are not what your heart truly desires inside. To figure out what you truly desire in life comes with experience and finding who you are inside. The trials you face throughout your life, challenge you to adapt and become the person you are supposed to be. These trials push you to the limits of your conscious mind and sometimes past it, but if you focus on what's important and the lessons you can learn from every experience you go through. Whether those lessons be good or bad, does not matter, the lesson you take from it needs to affect you in a positive way. You cannot allow yourself to only see the negative things of every experience, the what could have happened, or what went wrong. Instead you need to see the positive things you can take from the experience, no matter how negative it may have been. If you train your mind to find the positive in everything, no matter how hard or small it may be to find. You will literally re-write your brain to think more positively which ultimately affects what your happiness truly is. Happiness is not something you gain, it's something you create. It is never something that can be bought or handed to you. If you do not create your own happiness, you can never be happy with anyone else. Which lets be real, everyone wants to share their happiness with someone in the end. Otherwise what truly is the point? Someone can say they are completely happy alone, and it can be true. But in the end, somewhere in the back of the mind, under all the heartache and pain that person is hiding behind. They still want someone to understand them and be willing to share their happiness as well. When someone chooses you to share their happiness with, is the ultimate sign of love. In my experience it's that, "bases loaded, out of the park, home run type of thing". It's so rare to find someone who you trust enough to not only share your happiness with, but your sadness. Finding someone who will willingly sacrifice their time to listen to you when you're going through a rough time is rare and something that should never be let go.
So to answer the question, "What is your greatest desire?", would mean one would have to truly know themselves on a level that most people do not even attain in this time period.
