Madrigal (a train of thought)

by olly

I thought about putting flowers in your hair and I laughed

when my mind showed me your rediculous smile framed by buttercups and violets and

Leaves, curling like soft lips

dew dropping from the tips like morning tears

Weeping cherries curing round your arms, dampening

your knuckles, tracing your bare skin like a handful of

Paintbrushes couldn't hold this

this vision is ever moving. Your eyes are ever moving, your smile fidgets as if constantly reminding itself of its own vitality, its own

Eau-de-vie pouring like a waterfall, like the

tears on the leaves on your branches upon which the robins and bluebirds sit, just as jewellery would:

ever moving, ever moving.

This poem was smooth, with a rhythm and structure that flowed like a stream. Your thought was conveyed splendidly.

This was lyrical and descriptive. This poem was definitely in technicolor. Great job.
