Is it death we're really scared of?

or is it the idea of our materialistic bodies vanishing?

the fear of death makes us change the way we live.

Because as scary as it might seem,

We know regardless of what we'll try to do

We will still plummet 6 feet under our current 'home'.

So from now on, I will live without the fear of dying.

And treat life as if it was a story unraveling.

When my end shall come I won't be scared,

As I'll have nothing that i could regret.

And the end will be the end.

I am 73. That to give you a reference. I have as my constant companions, polymyositis, a heart that is only half mine and needs a pacemaker to beat., I have High blood pressure, and diabetes, But I do not suffer from any of those. I celebrate life every morning that I wake up. It is not death that I fear, it is the dying without dignity that I fear. It is the not living. I do love it so much. My children all my grandchildren mean so much to me. Death to me would be a sort of blessing. Flip the switch and lights out. You wrote a masterful piece of work as you can tell from my reaction. Great job!!!!!!
