All she wanted

by ofthewolves

Was to be free

Free

to find a place where she truly belonged

Free

to someday make a mark of her own

Free

to see the world as she pleased

Free

to be who she is

Free

What is freedom ?

haven't we always been tied ?

responsibilities Obligations

When will freedom come ?

All she wanted was to be free

One day, she will get there. Somehow

@bernardtwindwil yeah I love the fluidity of the whole concept of freedom, it differs from person to person, and differs from different times in a person's life.

@ofthewolves Freedom is something unique and individual to me. My definition of freedom has changed throughout my life. It has changed from going where I wanted and doing what I wanted to enough light to read by, enough to eat and drink, and a place to lie down.

@bernardtwindwil exactly , there's no universal definition for freedom but how each of us define it is so interesting to see ! What is freedom to you ?

@ofthewolves You are so right A person in prison 20 years into a life without parole sentence sees freedom completely differently from a Tibetan Buddhist monk comfortably ensconced in a monastery.

@bernardtwindwil freedom is very subjective after all, I Guess it's how the individual defines it. Thanks :-)

Kahlil Gibran said that the greatest fetters in a person's life are the golden chains of freedom. Fredom is not a destination. It is really overrated. You have written a very powerful and relevant. I don't think you will find anyone untouched by this work. Think about answering the question you pose. What is freedom? Write us some more about your search for the meaning of freedom. I love your work.
