I wanted the title to be a cuss word

by nyssa96

You looked at me with those kind eyes and I pretended I didn't notice

but I always know when you're around.

I fell apart again

and I wonder if Cupid the sadist is pressing the rewind button over and over again,

watching me trying to mask the pain with my pitiful laughter but failing.

Always failing.

Was that longing in your eyes, too? Or did I just see what I wanted to see?

It made my head and heart hurt.

I can't listen to any more Christmas songs because I know I wouldn't be spending it with you this year.

I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you

I'm sorry.

I told myself I'd stop writing sad poems and that I'd never write about you again.

I was never good with words, anyway.

But here is another poem beginning and ending with you.

This was heart wrenching. The wording seemed a plaintive call to the stars. It was saturated with melancholy. The title was ingenious. Great poem!
