As if you’ve appeared out of thin air, you stumbled upon my life.
I don’t know who you are, neither do you.
Your face, fleeting yet endearing; as if you were a figment of my ecstasy that I’d brought life to.
I leaned on you and placed my palm on your chest, to feel your heartbeat.
“You’re alive.” Whispered with my face flushed.
With your triumphant smirk, you then chuckled and played with my hair.
Dumbfounded I then watched as his lips pulled into a mischievous smirk.
I must be out of my mind.
“Let’s play a game of words.”
Absentmindedly, I accepted your challenge.
As if we’re playing tug of war, you lured me in and I could never win.
Your smug smile played on the corners of your lips as you fondled with my hair.
With my hands up in the air, I realised something else.
You took my heart too.
“I miss you.” Said as you pulled me into your warm embrace.
My heart fluttered.
“...What are we now?” Asked as I could feel myself melt in his arms.
You kept your silence and pushed me away.
Averting your brown orbs, we stood there as if time’s been frozen.
Superficial, is what I’d call this relationship.
We came from two worlds that should never coincide.
It must be some mistake that our paths had coincided with each other’s.
We kept both of our lips shut, as silence brewed in the air.
We knew, it would be checkmate once we’d spoken up.
