"All aboard! All aboard the Zinthl Train!" The conductor yelled. "Clara, Maya, Jack, Will, Carlson, Terry..." Mrs. Bensley started counting. "Oh! Isa! You! Come along now! We don't want to be late, do we!" "Actually I do..." Isa said, not moving a bit. Mrs. Bensley stopped at her feet, and stared down at the small girl. "Why...?"
"Because I don't want to go. It's simple," Isa said. "Leave me alone." Not knowing what to do, the anger got the better of Mrs. Bensley and she grabbed the wrist of the shy girl. Isa did the first thing that popped into her mind. She screamed.
"Let go of me!" "Stop it, ungrateful child!" "Please! Please, stop it!" "You are going on that train and I won't change my mind!"
"Mrs. Bensley!! H- Hello!? Mrs. Bensley, I'm here!" A small voice called out from behind the headmistress.
"Ah! There you are, boy! Come along now! Chop, chop!"
Isa turned around to look at the boy, and her heart gave a flutter.
Reluctantly... she stepped inside of the rust, old train, out of love. She wanted to be with that boy.
She followed the boy in and sat down in the seat behind him. She watched closely as he teared the wrapper off a granola bar. Inconveniently, it made her very hungry, and her stomach started to growl.
"Oh! My apologies!" She said, looking down at her stomach. The boy broke a piece of his bar an gave it to Isa.
"Thank you.." she said. "My pleasure," the boy replied.
To be continued...
I'll be posting a lot right now because I'm going through my drafts.
