Am I right?

How come Commaful turned into this big, huge Poetry Place?

For the Daily Prompt, for example.

It's always poems that win! Never short stories, memes, or anything else you can think of.

When I joined, I never thought about writing poetry, which is why I don't do the daily prompt much. Because there's so much poetry in it, that if I write something else for the daily prompt, it won't even be able to compete with it!

I know I don't get too many likes, but when I post a story,it usually gets a good amount of likes.

But when I post poetry, like this:

My Dear

My Dear My Mistress

My Dear My Mistress My Love

It gets WAY more likes than my stories!

And I'll be honest with you, I actually put more time in the stories than the poetry.

Don't get me wrong, poetry is great! I love reading other people's works. They put a lot of thought into them!

But this is just something that's been on my mind for a while.

And I'm kind of confused.
