Invincible Together (Kagehina) Chapter 10

quick a/n hope y'all enjoy this chapter. i don't really know how weddings work, so i basically googled a script thingy and edited a bit to fit my liking, so sorry if somethings are out of order or if i forgot something! anyways, enjoy!

Before they knew it, it was the day of their wedding. As the warm summer breeze blew outside, Kenma and Noya were rushing around trying to find Hinata’s tie while Suga, and his other groomsmen were helping him get ready.

A few rooms over in the huge church, was a panicking Kageyama pacing back and forth with Tsukki trying to calm him, while Asahi was praying for the about to be married couple and Kuroo was trying to tie Bokuto’s tie while Bokuto was throwing it back like a mad man.

“This is chaos.” Kuroo mumbled. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He called Kenma. “Yes?” Kenma asked when answering his phone. “Kynmaaaaaaaaaa!! We need your help! Bring Akaashi too please!” Kuroo whined.

“Okay.” Kenma hung up and told Akaashi that the other men needed them. The two walked to the room where they were. Suga found Hinata’s tie, and helped him put it on. Then out of nowhere, Natsu, and Hinata’s mom came bursting into the room.

“Shoyo! I almost forgot to give you this!” His mom said, holding up what looked like a roll of white lace. “It’s my veil I used when i got married to your dad..” she said, handing it to him. “Oh my gosh mom..- thank you so much.” He smiled. He handed the veil to Sugawara, who then put it on and fastened the clips in his ginger locks.

“Yeah, and i brought small light blue flower thingies that you can put in your hair to match your tie.” Natsu said, handing him a small box full of tiny blue flower clips. Yamaguchi and Natsu put them in his hair. Kenma and Akaashi returned.

“Oh my god, Shoyo, you look amazing!” Kenma said upon seeing his bestfriend. “Thanks Kenma!” he smiled. The red headed male then started to tear up. “I love you guys so much!” He wiped his tears. They all hugged him tightly.

“We love you too, Sho.” Suga smiled. “Now, c’mon. It's time for you to marry the love of your life!” After they cleaned his face off, Hinata and his groomsmen headed to the doors leading into the main big area of the church where they met up with Kageyama’s groomsmen.

Kageyama and Asahi were already in the bigger room awaiting the other groom, and both groups of groomsmen. Asahi would be officiating the wedding because “He is our Jesus, and Jesus must officiate our wedding.” According to Hinata.

After giving Hinata some reassuring last words, both groups of groomsmen excluding Tsukishima and Kenma, as they were the best men, walked in pairs through the door and down the isle. The order was Ennoshita and Tanaka, Yamaguchi and Noya, Bokuto and Akaashi, Suga and Daichi, and lastly Kuroo by himself.

After they got to the archway where Kags and Asahi were, Tsukki walked out, followed by Kenma. After them was Natsu as the flower girl, then Miwa, Kageyama’s big sister, as the ring bearer. Finally, taking a large breath to calm his nerves, Hinata walked out with his mom.

As he walked down the aisle, everyone was standing up and looking at the orange haired male. Upon seeing his gorgeous soon-to-be husband, Kageyama started tearing up. He looked at Hinata and smiled a huge smile. Blinking back tears of joy, Hinata continued down the aisle towards his very handsome soon to be groom.

Once they got to the arch, he gave his mom a soft kiss on the cheek, and she gave him away then went and sat down. Hinata walked over and Kageyama took the smaller male’s hands into his own. “Please be seated.” Asahi said once Hinata was in front of Kageyama.

“First, I’d like to begin by welcoming everyone and thanking each and every one of you for being here. It’s no accident that each of you are here today, and each of you were invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of Kageyama Tobio and Hinata Shōyō .”

Asahi started talking about how he and the entire volleyball team, along with their rival teams had known from the start that Kageyama and Hinata would get to this point.

“Now, Tobio and Shoyo have asked that I keep this speech short, classy, and family-friendly, and politely asked me to leave out stories that are unflattering to either of them." Asahi stated.

"I do feel comfortable saying, “I told you so.” Which is exactly what I said when I learned that Kageyama and Shoyo’s relationship was becoming truly serious. But, to keep my promise, I won't make this speech extra long. I know we all want to get to the part where our ship sails. So, without further ado, the vows.”

Kageyama cleared his throat. “Hinata Shoyo, I cannot put into words what you mean to me. Without you, I would still be that sad, lonely person I was 8 years ago. All of that changed when you came into my life, and we started going out. That's one of the many things I love about you. You change people for the better. I also love that no matter how tough things get, you have always

been here by my side. I promise that for as long as i live, i will do whatever it takes for you to be happy, and feel safe.” Kageyama said, trying not to cry. “I truly knew you were the one the first day I told you I loved you. You fell in the snow, and still managed to be a beautiful ray of sunshine. You lit up my life brighter than before in that moment, and that's when i

knew i needed you in my life forever. Being with you reminds me of those 7 words we exchanged on the court. We were right. We are invincible together.” Kageyama finished. “That was beautiful, Tobio. Shoyo? Your vows?” Asahi said, holding back tears of joy.

“Kageyama Tobio, honestly, I didn't really know what to say here. Nothing felt natural, so I am just winging it, because that's what you have to do in life sometimes, in both life, and love. When we first met, I thought you were terrifying, but that never stopped me from wanting to be with you for every second of every day. I love you more than words, and as silly as it may sound, I'd fall in that snowbank over and over if

it means that you choose to love me every time until we both move on from this world.” He paused to wipe a tear from his eye. “I promise to love you with every inch of my being, even if it is not a lot of inches." They all chuckled. I will do everything in my power to keep you out of that dark, depressing place you were in 8 years ago.

If I'm here, you can make it, and with you here, I can go above and beyond. Cause you're right. Together, we are Invincible, and I love that. I love you.” He said, looking up into Kageyama’s blueberry eyes. “Beautiful.” Asahi said, teary eyed. “And now, Kageyama Tobio, do you take Hinata Shoyo to be your lawfully wedded husband?

Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect him, in sickness and in health? For richer or poorer? Forsaking all others, and holding only unto him forevermore?” “I do.” Kageyama smiled widely as tears streamed down his face. “And do you, Hinata Shoyo, take Kageyama Tobio to be your lawfully wedded husband?

Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect him, in sickness and in health? For richer or poorer? Forsaking all others, and holding only unto him forevermore?” Asahi asked. “I do.” Hinata smiled brightly, not caring of the fact that he was about to be full on sobbing.

“Tobio and Shoyo will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. Your wedding rings are special; they enhance who you are. They mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle, a symbol of love never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end.” Asahi said, handing Kageyama Hinata’s ring.

“Tobio, please place the ring on Shoyo’s left hand and repeat after me..” Kageyama slid the ring onto Hinata’s left ring finger. “As a sign of my love” “As a sign of my love..” Kageyama repeated. “That I have chosen you,” “That i have chosen you..”

“Above all else,” “Above all else..” “With this ring, I thee wed,” “With this ring, I thee wed..” “As a sign of my love,” “As a sign of my love..”

“I have chosen you,” “I have chosen you..” “Above all else,” “Above all else..” “With this ring, i thee wed.” “With this ring, i thee wed.”

The same was done for Hinata after he put the ring on Kageyama’s finger. “And now, by the power vested in me by the great country of Japan, I pronounce you husbands. You may kiss your groom.” Asahi said, smiling. Kageyama’s hands found a place on his newly made husband’s waist as he pulled him in for a kiss.

Hinata cupped Kageyama’s cheeks in his hands and they shared a passionate kiss. From the cheering and whooping coming from their friends and family, you could hear a “HELL YEAH, THAT'S MY BOY!!!!” and a “Tanaka! Keep your shirt on!”

The married couple couldn't care less about what was going on in the moment in time, all they cared about was the warm embrace of the other’s lips. “We really are invincible together..” Kageyama whispered, breaking the kiss.

He then took Hinata in his arms bridal style and ran back down the aisle, outside and into a white car with the words “just married” painted on the back window in rainbow colors.
