A/N Hey guys! New chapter book series! Eeeee! So I posted a trailer for it a few days ago and it go a good 12 likes so I decided to start the chapter series! I hope you like it! ENJOY!

*'Amazing Grace' Playing Softly In the Background*

"...Then God said, "Let there be light!" said the preacher.

I glanced over at my older sister, Claudia. She had her head bowed down, with tears in her eyes. Claudia had to fly back here to D.C. She was taking college classes at Boston. But when she heard that Mom passed, Claud had to cut her classes to come to her funeral.

I looked down at my feet, knowing my lip was now trembling. I knew I was about to cry.

You see, my mother died because of a suicidal according to the detectives.

But I don't believe that. Why would Mom do such thing? That same night my mom died, I was at my friends house, and my dad went out somewhere.

Mom was also drunk that night. So does that mean she was maybe--just maybe--cheating on Dad with someone else?

I didn't know a thing...YET. But I'm taking notes. When the funeral was over, all the people went there ways.

"C'mon, Jasmine. It's time to go," Claudia said softly. I nodded and placed my flowers on Mom's gravestone. My sister put her hand around me and we walked into the car and drove off.

We drove in complete silence.

And when we reached home, I raced upstairs and into my room.

I wrote in my notes: πš†πš‘πšŽπš›πšŽ 𝚠𝚊𝚜 π™³πšŠπš πšπš‘πšŽ πš—πš’πšπš‘πš π™Όπš˜πš– πšπš’πšŽπš? πš†πš‘πšŽπš›πšŽ 𝚠𝚊𝚜 π™²πš•πšŠπšžπšπš’πšŠ πšπš‘πšŽ πš—πš’πšπš‘πš π™Όπš˜πš– πšπš’πšŽπš? πš†πš‘πšŽπš›πšŽ 𝚠𝚊𝚜 πš„πš—πšŒπš•πšŽ π™΄πš›πš’πš” πšπš‘πšŽ πš—πš’πšπš‘πš π™Όπš˜πš– πšπš’πšŽπš? πš†πš‘πš˜ πšŽπš•πšœπšŽ?

I hear a knock on my door. I shoved the notebook into my desk. "Come in!" I yelled. The door opened slowly. It was Claudia.

"Hey, Jaz. I came to say goodbye. Dad's driving me back to Boston." I stood up. "Isn't Boston seven hours away?" "Well, actually, he's driving me to the airport. Then, I'm going to Boston on a plane," Claudia explained. I nodded and hugged her.

"See you," she said. I gave a small smile and waved.
