Just dabbling with short stories :)

The sound of a thousand bugs was the only echo throughout the night. Stars were little night lights littered above the tent. A few trees swayed in a slight breeze, not quite enough to rustle a single branch.

The campfire was dwindling. Coals and a few streaks of small flames remained. It was about time to go hop into a warm sleeping bag and zip the darn thing all the way up!

Sarah hustled her buns quickly to the tent with Dennis not far behind. Tonight had been such a must needed get-a-way for them. Life had become so chaotic lately. Work was insane at the hospital for her, and he was teaching a demanding amount of college classes this semester.
