Need of caffeine and love of babies

Exhaustedly Caffeinated

by drhotmama

Nobody knows that I didn't drink coffee until after my first baby was born. Seems as if coffee was always there. Seems as if babies were, too. Beaming, bleary and full of robust love.

I was 30 yo when I started drinking coffee. It was when I went to college to become and RN. How was I to know that healthcare was a caffeinated profession. Now that I am retired I have one cup in the morning. This was beautifully written. It was deeply meaningful to me. Great poem!!!!
