Notice the birds and smell the rain Bring yourself back to earth again

Back to Earth

Notice the birds and smell the rain

Bring yourself back to earth again

Hear the sounds of the people's cries

They are dying

But were they ever really alive?

See a rainbow, fly a kite

You wish you may, you wish you might

See the world from a different view

You wish they couldn't see all the bad things you do

See a snowflake drift down from above

Drop a little luck

Give a little love

But it seems like it's never enough

Give a toast to love, and one to life

While we all go through the never-ending strife

When we get no rain, then suddenly, we drown

In a sea of disbelief and deceit

Break the bread and pass the butter

As we spend one life after another

Doing nothing, living lies

Only to lead to our own demise

Notice the birds and smell the rain

Bring yourself back to earth again.
