I still feel this Some part buried

Winter Glances

I still feel this

Some part buried

Some parts hovering

Like when the fog lifts in winter, still you can see it at a distance yet everything looks clear around you

The gnawing in my gut

Second thoughts

Is what is right, what feels right

Or is it the other

The fog

Murky, thick, and unknown feels inherently wrong

Stay warm, safe

But the winter you give me leaves me in this perpetual fog

I cannot see what is right

Right in front of me

But I can feel the cold settling in again
