Say hello to the wonderful new member of the Sheriff's Office: Lily!
Lily has just started her new career helping victims, especially children, relax around police officers.
Lily started off facing a huge risk of being euthanized, living as a shelter dog. Luckily, she was able to enroll in "college" and now find a successful career in law enforcement.
She participated in an 8-week long program called Paws and Stripes College, an organization that helps find service jobs for unwanted shelter dogs.
Lily's impact has already been felt even though she is new to the job. Officers have reported that she has helped many children open up and feel more comfortable.
Good job Lily!
