As of December 31st, 2017, the writing site, Figment has officially shut down. Here is the note that was posted on Figment to users:

"Figment is getting Underlined! While the Figment site is shutting down, the community will still have a home to continue telling amazing stories.

On Underlined, you will still be able to create, comment on, and discuss stories, upload covers, edit your work, and more!

We love the passion and creativity of the Figment community, and we are excited to introduce you to the new platform."

"You will have until December 31, 2017, to back up all of your stories and content.

Your stories will not automatically transfer to Underlined, so you must save all the work you would like to keep.

In early November, you will be able to re-upload all of your work to the Underlined platform, or start fresh!"

"Figment is all about storytelling. We want you to be able to connect with other storytellers, authors, books, and readers in the best way possible.

The new Underlined platform offers more advanced options to connect you to all the things you love: books (of course), but also music, movies, trends, and more."

In short, the site is going down and all works are being deleted.

Thankfully we have Commaful ;)
