Darkest Gun Episode 1: Pilot Written by Neiko Simmons

Narrator:

Four men road horses up a snowy mountain trail.

Sheriff:

It sure is cold up here father.

Priest:

Do you have some sort of problem Sheriff?

Sheriff:

So far I have a lack of a problem.

Priest:

This is your job.

Sheriff:

No father, my job is to protect the town, not run around the woods looking for ghosts.

Priest:

I fear something has happened at the cabin.

Sheriff:

No one has been at this cabin for years.

Priest: Look.

Narrator:

The Priest pointed at a hanging sculpture of sticks in the trees.

Sheriff:

I think someone's trying to scare you father.

Priest:

Just keep going.

Narrator:

The men continued up the trail. Eventually the trees cleared and an old run down cabin was revealed. To the Sheriffs surprise, a man stood with his back to the group chopping wood.

The Sheriff stopped about twenty feet from the man.

Sheriff:

Excuse me sir?

Narrator:

The man continued chopping wood.

Sheriff: Hello?

Narrator:

No response.

Sheriff:

Deputy go tie this idiot.

Narrator:

Everyone began getting down off their horses. Deputy Shannon grabbed his rope off of his saddle and walked over behind the man. The Deputy grabbed the the man's shoulder and spun him around.

The Deputy was shocked at what he saw.

The man's eyes were entirely black and he had three bullet wounds in his chest, his face had no expression and maggots feasted on the flesh around his wounds.

Shannon:

What in the -

Narrator:

The man suddenly, at incredible speed, drew his gun and blasted Deputy Shannon in the stomach. The other three men ran for cover finding some behind a few trees.

Sheriff:

Father! I need you to ride your ass down this mountain as fast as you can and tell the mayor to get everyone inside and ready you got that?

Priest:

Ready for what Sheriff?

Sheriff:

For whatever comes down this mountain! now go!

Narrator: The Priest ran for his horse as the Sheriff and Deputy opened fire on the man they hit him a few times in the chest and stomach but he didn't flinch.

Sheriff:

What the hell is going on!

Narrator:

Then, behind the man, Deputy Shannon rose to his feet, this time with black eyes. Deputy Shannon drew his pistol and opened fire on the Sheriff.

Sheriff:

Jesus Christ!

Narrator:

Deputy Moore peaked out and fired hitting the man in the head, he fell to the ground.

Moore:

Hit em in the head!

Narrator:

This time the Sheriff peaked out but Shannon was faster firing and hitting the Sheriff in the stomach. The Sheriff fell to the ground with a yell.

Moore:

Sheriff!

Sheriff:

Don't worry about me keep shooting!

Narrator:

Deputy Moore took another peak while Shannon was focused on the Sheriff and fired hitting Shannon in the head and dropping him. Moore holstered his gun and got down next to the Sheriff.

Sheriff:

I aint gunna make it son.

Moore:

Your hit pretty bad.

Sheriff:

I don't wanna end up like Shannon.

Moore:

I know what your askin of me.

Narrator:

Moore drew his gun and put it to the Sheriff's head but... A voice came from inside Moore's mind.

Voice:

Don't do it!

Narrator:

Moore was startled by the voice.

Voice:

Put the gun down!

Sheriff:

What are you waiting for?

Moore:

What the hell?

Sheriff:

Moore!

Narrator:

Suddenly an ear piercing screech came from the voice. Moore dropped the gun and put his hands on his ears, but this did nothing to dampen the sound.

Sheriff:

What the hell is going on?

Moore:

Fuck! It hurts!

Narrator:

Blood began to run out of Moore's ears.

Sheriff:

Moore!

Narrator:

Then, the ringing stopped punctuated by a gun shot. Moore looked down to see an exit wound on his chest then fell on his face. Behind him a man stood wearing all black with his hat down low.

Man:

Sorry Sheriff you work for mother now.

Narrator:

The man pulled the trigger once more killing the Sheriff. The man waited a while before the two lawmen stood up with black eyes.

Man:

Good job mother.

Narrator:

The dead lawmen spoke with a woman's voice, the same voice that occupied Moore's mind.

Voice:

Thank you Nicoli, now come to me, I must feel your skin.

Nicoli:

On my way mother.
