I was Fire; with loving eyes,
flame filled with a warmth and life
that was both beautiful and deadly.
She was Ice; soft eyes, hardened
From a life of pain.
Each gaze cold and hard yet captivating
And beautiful all the same.
When brown met blue
My flame melted the ice that was you
Forgetting that ice hurts flame too.
We were never meant to love one another
But opposites attract they say,
Yet we are as opposite as night and day
Life and death all the same.
That's why we loved each other
Fire and Ice are wonders that are both
Beautiful and deadly.
We understood each other in ways that nobody else could.
We loved each other more than we loved ourselves, knowing loving each other only caused pain.
But what's love without a little heartache anyway?
