Silent Eyes

by mischa

Eyes always say what the mouth doesn't

they tell stories, they laugh, they sing

and they can wail, cry, and scream

Eyes reveal what we want to stay hidden

they strip our soul bare, a voice we can't quiet

So you'll know when you'll see them

when what should be so loud

becomes nothing but

silent

This was well written. I loved it. Your choice of words were amazingly graphic. Great job!!!
