Been trying to write all day, but words keep getting in the way.

Word Jazz

Been trying to write all day,

but words keep getting in the way.

Different words, that don't make sense.

Words out of place, but they rhyme, like fence.

Crazy gibberish that rhymes.

Get with the times!

That's art, I say,

but I'm no judge, so hey...

I guess I'll just make some lines now.

Maybe someone will say wow.

Lyrics, I should just call them that.

What say you? The one in the hat.

Why lyrics you ask?

Well that's a task.

But the jist is that they're often random yet raw.

And somehow, people are in awe.

They don't notice the words,

are just for the birds.

They just sing along,

to the song.

I know this is true.

It's something I do.

Maybe not all,

but some of you do it too.

You hear a song and like the beat.

You dance, generate some heat.

The words are awesome and cool.

But you say them and feel like a fool.

Cause that's when your ear,

suddenly starts to hear,

the randomness of it all.

Yet still you answer the call.

Random like jazz,

words like pizazz.

Are you singing along?

Did I just write a song?
