The wind howls. My mind reels.

The Darkness of Winter

The wind howls.

My mind reels.

Blow after blow.

Can I stay standing?

Clouds move in.

Dark clouds.

Sad music plays.

My heart is heavy.

My soul burdened,

by regrets.

Where now do I go?

My bridges are burnt.

Did I strike the match?

I doubt myself.

Always and forever.

Those that I love.

Why do they love me?

I always feel a failure.

Night is coming.

Daylight is fading.

A torment of sorts.

Perhaps I deserve it.

The darkness of winter.
