I will fear death. Until the day I must embrace it.

Death

It will inevitably come for me.

At times my greatest fear.

At times my greatest hope.

Release.

From the suffering of life.

Separation.

From those you love.

Good and bad.

Peace and sorrow.

Dark thoughts consume me.

Will the soul carry on?

Will man become immortal?

Does he want such a thing?

Is it a blessing or a curse?

If life is suffering.

As the buddhist believes.

Then we should want death.

If heaven awaits.

As the christian believes.

Then we should want it too.

Yet we do not.

We fear it.

Is our faith weak?

Our constitution?

No.

For we are human.

We must fight death,

until the last moment,

when we truly have,

no other choice.

And then,

we must embrace it.
