For they had let hatred and fear rule their hearts, and they lacked the most basic of compassion for living things and even their fellow humans.
But the messiah was just, and he did not come to punish them, instead, he wanted to show them the error of their ways. He cared not which creed a man had chosen.
Instead choosing to judge the man by his capacity for love and his resistance to fear. For love leads to all things good and fear leads to many things bad. Fear is the mind killer.
Leading the man to poor decisions and opening his heart to hatred. To give in to fear was the gravest of sins. But the messiah was just. Thank the lord. He was just.
