The Sun rises
It's another day

The Sun Still Rises

The Sun Still Rises By: Mike Mezz

The Sun rises It's another day

How slowly passes The days away

Fires are burning In my lonesome mind

Friends kept falling Somehow I stayed alive

I wake up in the middle of the night Sweat pouring from me, I sit upright

Some deep breaths later I lie back down How I wish to forget those foreign sounds

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land The Sun Still Rises for me Down in Vietnam

I get off the plane People are shouting around

They spit in my face Even in my hometown

I think of my friends Most didn't come back

I can still remember Them falling in the attack

Fifty-Two years later I still feel the pain All my dreams feel just like yesterday

People will never really understand What it was like down in Vietnam

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land The Sun Still Rises for me Down in Vietnam

Everyday

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land The Sun Still Rises for me Down in Vietnam

The Sun Still Rises for me In this foreign land The Sun Still Rises for me Down in Vietnam Everyday

Everyday

*For my Dad and all other Vietnam Veteran's who are American heroes*
