Nothing Sacred By: Mike Mezz
Holding on, I'm so confused In a time when life's so hard Some don't care about the damage they do Broken dreams have left their scars
I don't know why they've lost all sense of reason I don't know why they've settled for political adhesion Is this what they are now calling freedom?
Is there nothing sacred anymore? We can't forget what we live for Destroying for profit or another war Is nothing sacred anymore?
And another day passes by Then suddenly our world is torn The ones who lived in innocence Tarnished now by bitterness and scorn
I don't know why they've closed their eyes to treason And I don't know why they don't want social cohesion Is this what they're substituting for freedom?
There's nothing sacred anymore We can't forget what others have died for Destroying freedom from shore to shore Is nothing sacred anymore?
We've all wandered in the dark Misled by those who've lived as fake I cannot help but feel sometimes That all our dreams have died in vain
There's nothing sacred anymore We can't forget what we live for Building walls or fracking on sacred soil Is nothing sacred anymore?
I sit and stare with hardened eyes
I sit and stare with hardened eyes Through a time when life's so hard
