The miles fade away....

Just a Porter

Just a Porter By: Mike Mezz

The cars sway back and forth As the train whistle blows I continue walking the floors I don't care where it goes

My broken heart hurts Skeletons of trees blur by I know she was always worth Every minute I was by her side

I'm just a lonely porter Riding the train of life Just a baggage transporter Pain hides behind my eyes

For every mile I travel ahead The scenery seems to change For every ounce of tears I shed The miles make them fade way

I can tolerate the engine smoke But I can't erase the smell of her perfume The train has no feelings to evoke It just snakes its way from gloom

I'm just a lonely porter Riding this train of life Just a baggage transporter Running away from strife
