It could just be a dream And you’re not Quite what you seem
I remember when I first saw you Fear seeped in And instantly took hold A fear that only grew Yet remained untold
You’re meant to bring joy Yet all you do is haunt my mind Those wicked features so darkly defined Like your painted smile And its hidden cruelty to which I was never blind
Though cleverly disguised as a friend Your laughter only makes me shudder I would hide behind my mother And wish the nightmare to end
Is there really evil in you? Perhaps I’ll never know It could just be my point of view But this fear, will I ever outgrow?
For maybe it’s not just a dream
You’re exactly what you seem
