A twisted take on Cinderella.

By: Hans Christian Andersen and Perrault

Waiting on Glass Slippers

Based on Perrault

Here I wait

Among an eve, a bed of rose,

Awaiting young charming to come by

to Kiss...to Caress...and

and to Murmur promises:

Shall we dance upon carrara floors?

Or perhaps, lay by the foutain, and listen to the babbles-

to the babbles...

until sunrise?

My throat closes, eyes prick,

Water drips,

and knees buckle...

I'm no Queen, no princess, nor even a baroness.

I'm simply a fixture,

A thing of glass...

Waiting within

your garden of roses...
