A bad days fishing beats a good day at work any day

MAN OVERBORD

by michaelschulze

I signed up as a deckhand to go out to sea . To catch tuna wherever they may be .

There was just the skipper and me and miles and miles of endless sea .

The season was long and the pickings were slim . Nothing for me and little for him .

One wave went over then there were two i was swimming around what could i do .

The boat and the skipper were no where in view .

Another wave struck with veracity how can this be I'm back on board just the skipper and me .

THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I WENT TO SEA

This really touched me. It was excellent in humor and in rhyming and verse distribution. I know that I am pedantic. But I am also a fisherman. I take issue with your quotation, "A bad day fishing beats a good day at work any day". There is no such thing as a bad day fishing. Great poem!! I hope you are keeping a copy of all your work for publication. I draw parallels between you and Charles Bukowki https://en.wikipedia.org/... and http://bukowski.net/. I loved listening to his poetry at our local coffee house.
