Andromeda

She does not have constellations in her eyes She is the constellations

The constellations are in her bones Swimming through her veins Passing through her heart Flooding her lungs, until they are pushed out of her throat in a voice that says “do you even listen”

She is a story told a million times but no one can quite remember She is acknowledged but only for a moment Occasionally graced with a passing glance She does not know she is the one gracing him and neither does he

Forever chasing herself Season after season Year after year Forever stuck in the sky Forever chained by the sea awaiting the inevitable

No Perseus to save her Maybe she’ll just save herself
