Trugging along there pawn shops A souvenir for a collateral Staking all that was present and lost Just for a loan, that's what they all thought
But as far as I see The horizon's beneath my knees All my belongings are unkemptly kept Placed over the picnic baskets and garlands of pink flowers
Picketing through it all Gives me greivances of many sorts The unwanted memories supressed to its full length The sad treasure of collectibles
Filled with wondrous gifts and fancy presents Each with its eccentric stories and aesthete A sight to behold Rewind it, replay it but let go
Rent your memories and buy new ones Sell your soul, give it up Carrying it all back A visit to the PAWN SHOP gave me blues
