Broken Love A Poem

by memetrash

You're over the Shimmering, glistening city Everything is beautiful From a distance

When we met You sang renditions Of fallacious promises

Sparkling champagne Glistened in your eyes A bubbly laugh

But I espied your lies And shoved them away In the back of my mind

We started to splinter Broken at every turn A lost cause, we were No repairs possible

I surrendered to the truth All your lies fell apart And I know who you truly are And how you have no heart

You've forgotten me With your crystalline lies And clandestine eyes

Stories We Think You'll Love

This was articulate and lyrical. This was an excellent poem. I was impressed by your choice of symbolism. They were critical to bringing the message to life. The graphics drove the message home.
