Felicity sat across the room from the hooded figure, tapping her foot.
"You're late." She says.
"I got caught up." The hood awkwardly shuffles his feet.
"I was worried."
They stare for a long second. Felicity was fed up with Oliver's BS, he had promised to be by her side always.
She knew he was the hood, or the arrow or whatever other names people called him these days.
But he was her husband, her forever, her only.
She had made peace with him going out ever night. But she wouldn't put up with him being late for planned meetings and not calling her or somehow letting her know he was okay.
"Oliver..." She began.
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again."
"But it will, Oliver. I know how it goes. I've been by your side in one way or another for years..."
"I won't ask you to choose between me and the city, but I can't share you with it forever."
"I'm sorry Oliver. I can't do this anymore."
Felicity stoop up quickly and shuffled past Oliver.
He grabbed her gently.
"Felicity, I love you."
"I love you too Oliver, but I can't." Her eyes filled with uncontrollable tears.
"Please don't hate me for this."
Felicity walked out the door, pausing to look back at the love of her life shouldering a now broken spirit.
'Was this the right choice?' she pondered briefly.
"Maybe in another life." She whispered and turned away from her love, tears still streaming down her face.
