Cardboard House

Homeless lady in the cardboard house

They all walk on by without a glance

And yet she chose not to conform

Diner's dumpster became her fridge

Fleeing

Pillow was once a designer blouse

No doors, she covers her shame pantless

Endless miles she must jog for food

Fleeing pain; it's no way to live
