Drive

A hand is grabbed at midnight promises to flee are whispered. It's the same old scene again the darkness flecked in lies. Truth shines against the hell freedom hangs from a lanyard and no more lies spoken but a single silent utter, "Drive"

Undulating wheels of panic hug the curving pavement flashing lights in every mirror, There is no where left to hide, Death wails a siren only danger lies ahead void swirls on either side There's nothing left for it, "Drive"

T'was a merry night filled up with song and laughter lasting well into the night but even dear friends must be parts There was a screech of rabid tires and a doffed policeman's hat When he called the house of joy "Drunken driver. Dead on impact"
