Mistakes are lead role while your greatest achievements become the failed audition you won’t remember

Take a Bow

Mistakes are lead role while your greatest achievements become the failed audition you won’t remember

Your smile that once stretched for miles is becoming torn and broken

Are you afraid of the judgment?

Are you afraid of your walls once so high lowering as your energetic lifestyle becomes an overplayed symphony?

Scream all you want because no one likes the person whose throat is raw and bare

Watch from the one-sided mirror of your mind as you fuck up your own life mistake after mistake

Become the person they believe you are

Doing this and that for the attention that they only gave when you were on your deathbed

When you lie there shuddering and coughing throat too raw from screaming that they didn’t hear remember what they did

They put you on this bed

They tied the noose that hangs around your neck

They placed the kitchen knife in your hands that were used to slit your wrists

It’s all a show

This life

Your life

Take a bow

Make sure they don’t see the scars that rise against your skin when your sleeve floats up to the heavens

Either way, you don’t care

You’re on the stage, and they are watching

Was it worth it? The blood and the pain

All for a measly bow for your final and only performance

Everyone gets their own show

Yours just happens to be a funeral
