Essentially just me explaining the changes I made to these heroes so people aren't confused. I'll update this if I ever decide to add more main characters to my universe.

My Takes on Every DC Character in my Universe (so far)

Batman

Batman This version is less brutal than Nolan's Batman, but still has a lot of dark tones and themes. The stories around him are mysteries because Batman at his core is a detective. I also plan to explore a lot of psychological elements with this version of the character, mainly being inspired by the 2000s Batman comics.

I did this because personally, I think Batman works better when he isn't super dark and gritty all the time. I also don't like how many people depict him as a loner who can't love anyone, Batman is more than capable of having strong relationships, more people need to realize that.

Brainiac

Brainiac I pretty much just took the same cold, emotionless character from the comics but changed a lot of his backstory and motivations. This Brainiac is an academic on a mission to discover the secrets of the universe, he is motivated by knowledge and self-preservation.

I did this because I want to make him actually understandable as a character. Because even if you disagree with him, he at least makes more sense than most iterations of him where he wants to shrink cities to repopulate his homeworld because comics.

Robin (Dick Grayson)

Robin (Dick Grayson) This Robin takes himself way too seriously and emulates a lot of traits from Batman. He's trying to stand out on his own as a leader though he is struggling quite a bit. So, pretty much in-between the young, immature Robin and the older, mature Nightwing, because that is my favorite version of this character.

Sideways

Sideways This is my favorite character introduced in recent years. And while I like his backstory in the comics, it ties into the Dark Knights: Metal event which did not happen in my universe (or at least, it hasn't so far). Because of this, I completely reinvented his past in ways I will not discuss here because they are key to upcoming events.

Oh yeah, in case you didn't know, personality wise, he's essentially just Peter Parker, his costume even looks like Spider-Man's. The only thing that really sets them apart are their powers and origins.

Blue Beetle

Blue Beetle IT'S YA BOI, THE SINGLE MOST UNDERRATED CHARACTER IN ALL OF COMICS. Well, sort of underrated, but still, I really like this character. I pretty much just kept him the same with the exception of him being a bit more comedic than he is in the comics.

Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark)

Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark) So uh, I wanted a Drax-like character, that's it. (Ok, actually it's a lot more complicated than that but I kinda don't want to reveal it until the other characters learn about her a bit more).

Cyborg

Cyborg Basically make Cyborg emotionless and stoic on the outside, whilst suppressing a lot of pain, guilt, and hatred on the inside.

Raven

Raven It's just Raven from the Teen Titans series (the 2003 animated one), but not as OP.

Flash (Barry Allen)

Flash (Barry Allen) The Flash is quickly becoming more and more popular and I didn't want to make anyone mad by drastically changing him so this one is pretty much just copy and pasted from the CW show (specifically season 1 because I stopped watching halfway through season 2) except a bit more humorous and leaning more into his forensic science background.

Green Lantern (Alan Scott)

Green Lantern (Alan Scott) This is the first as well as my favorite version of Green Lantern in the comics, though not a lot of people know who he is, which is very sad. My version is fairly similar to the New 52 version, except that instead of harnessing the power of nature, he is part of a beta version of what would become the Green Lantern Corps.

And yes, he is gay in his New 52 portrayel, though I named his fiancee after the first gay character to appear in a Green Lantern comic book as well as the man who wrote it (Terry + Judd Winick = Terry Winick). This is because I am lazy and like referencing the comics.

Wonder Woman

Wonder Woman Ok, honestly, I don't really know too much about Wonder Woman outside of her solo movie. I am currently researching her quite a bit for an upcoming series so for now, just expect a character with all of her key character traits with maybe a twist or two.

Superman

Superman Hey, you know Superman from Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, and Justice League? Make the opposite of that. This Superman has a fondness for humans and sees himself as one of them. He does not consider himself a god, merely a protector of what is right in the world. This is because I think this is the most compelling form of Superman.

At his core, despite being born as a Kryptonian, Superman is human. He was raised by humans and will stop at nothing to protect them. He is always conscious of his surroundings and tries to destroy as little as possible when he fights. DID YOU GET THAT ZACK SNYDER? SUPERMAN DOESN'T LEVEL CITIES WHEN HE FIGHTS ZODD JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS COOL.

Yep... that's it for all the major characters so far (Wonder Woman and Superman are going to be in an upcoming series).
