Your friend Thea had given you a key to her old apartment before she moved in with Laurel, and today you finally put that key to use.
You had found and brought out every single Christmas decoration that was in the apartment, and you started to decorate Oliver Queen’s home.
You liked doing this, because you knew that Oliver didn’t have the time nor the patience to put any of this up himself, so you were more than happy to do it for him.
You had put on Christmas music, made some hot cocoa,
and brought over your homemade Christmas cookies just to get into the spirit of decorating the loft with so many different holiday decorations.
As one of your favorite Christmas songs played you could hear the door to the apartment open,
but you just thought that it was Thea so you let you roll off your back and continued to hang ornaments on the tree.
“I’ll be home for Christmas…” You sang softly to your Spotify playlist, not even realizing that it was Oliver who had walked into the loft and not his littler sister.
You spun around, going to grab another ornament but jump back when you see Oliver smiling at you from the doorway.
Your hand flew over your chest as you suck in a shocked breath, making Oliver chuckle. “H-how long have you been standing there?” You ask, stuttering a little bit.
Oliver shrugs and kicks off his shoes, leaving them by the couch. “Not long.” He replies, walking over to you and looking at the tree. “How long have you been here?” He asks.
“About three hours…” You hang your head, kind of embarrassed that you had spent so much time there.
“Thea gave me a key a while ago and I know that you wouldn’t have decorated anything for the holidays so I just thought I’d do it to be nice and-” Oliver cut you off with a short
and simple kiss against your lips. You were surprised at first, completely not expecting that to happen.
Oliver pulled away, smiling at you.
“Well thank you, Y/N, in return I will help finish decorating this tree and then I will take you out to dinner, if you’d like.” You smile a little, blushing as you nodded.
“Of course.” Oliver smiled and helped you finish decorating the tree, then kept his promise by taking you out to lunch.
