You were living with Oliver queen (also your crush), but only because he knew that you had no where else to go.
You knew he was the Green Arrow, it wasn’t hard to tell but he didn’t have to know that.
Of course he wasn’t here at the moment, most likely because he was to busy saving the city, as usual.
You sighed, taking your medication and then heading off to bed, hoping to get at least an hour of sleep.
Not even thirty minutes into sleeping you woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily, and your heart racing.
You rubbed your eyes, getting rid of some of the stray tears that were slowly falling down your cheeks.
Getting up you walked downstairs to the kitchen to get some water.
There was still no sign of Oliver so you decided to turn on all the lights, since you didn’t have a great relationship with the dark.
You grab a glass of water, sitting at the counter and running your finger around the rim. You didn’t even realize that Oliver had showed up.
“Y/N? What are you doing up?” He asked. It was obvious he just got back from wherever he was. You look up, dry tears staining your cheeks. He notices and frowns, walking over to you.
“Y/N, what’s wrong? Why were you crying?” You shrug shaking your head.
“It’s not important.” You sigh and stand up, rubbing your eyes and then trying to walk away. Oliver grabbed your wrist, turning you around.
You couldn’t help the tears that started to fall down your face. Oliver’s arms reached out, pulling you into his embrace. You sniffled, hiding your face in his shirt.
“Shh..shh it’s okay.” He soothed, stroking your hair. “Did you have another nightmare?” You nodded. He picked you up without any effort and carried you up to his bedroom instead of your own.
“Why are we in your room?” You mumbled as he sat you down on his bed, he shrugged and pulled off his jacket and shirt, revealing his scars that no one hardly saw.
You turned away, sitting awkwardly as you waited for Oliver to finish changing. He pulled on a pair of sweats and then wondered off to the other side of the bed.
“I just thought that if you were with someone while you slept, then maybe you wouldn’t have any bad dreams.” He shrugged and you nodded, playing with them hem of your t-shirt.
“Do you want to talk about it? You’re nightmares I mean?” I shrugged.
“I guess, but it’s just the same things as usual. My parents death, the earthquake, the mirakuru soldiers, and Damion Dark.” you shrugged. “Same things as every other night.” you mumbled.
“But you also dreamed about you leaving, dying I mean.” you said quietly. He frowned and grabbed your hands.
“I’m never going to leave you, Y/N. I promise.”
“But it felt so real.” You frowned, tears starting falling down your cheeks again. “I-i don’t know what I would do without you, I mean you’re a big a part of my life and..
” You were cut off with Oliver’s lips on yours, shutting you up. You weren’t reluctant to kiss back, wanting to do this since forever. Oliver pulled back, not helping the smile on his face.
“Sorry, I’ve wanted to do that since forever.” You blushed.
“I’ve wanted to, too, I just didn’t know if you felt the same way, and now I know you do.” He smiles and gently kisses you again.
“Now try to get some sleep okay? You need sleep too.” You nod and the two of you lay down, Oliver pulling you into his arms and stroking your arms.
You were asleep, which was weird since you couldn’t sleep half the night anyways. The images of each disaster racked your brain again.
“Y/N! Run! Get out of here!” Your boyfriend had yelled as you two struggled to get out of the Glades. “No, I’m not going to leave you out here!” You yelled back.
It was the night of the earth quake, the first disaster to happen in Starling City. “Please, baby you have to get out of here okay? I’ll meet out there okay? Now please go.” He begged.
He had a gash on his leg, a piece of metal from a building had cut him.
“Please keep that promise.” He nodded and you started to run off, but just as you got out of the Glades, they collapsed. “Y/crush’s/N!”
You jolted up, your throat scratchy from screaming out your deceased boyfriend’s name. Tears were pouring down your cheeks by now. Oliver woke up frantically, trying to get you to calm down.
“Shh, it was just a bad dream. Just a dream, okay? None of it was real.” He whispered.
You shook your head. “But it was real, all of it.” You sniffled. For the first time, you decided to explain the details of your dream to him.
“It was the night of the earthquake, I lived in the Glades at the time with my boyfriend.
We tried to get out as fast as we could, but a piece of metal from a collapsed building cut his leg open.
He told me to leave, get out of the Glades before the city collapsed, but I didn’t want to.
Finally I left, and he made a promise that he’d make it out to me but then the city collapsed and he died…And if I just would have helped him he would still be alive,
and I would be able to sleep just a little bit.” You frowned, starting to beat yourself up about his death.
Oliver rubbed your back. “It wasn’t your fault, He wanted you to get out alive. He wanted you to live a life, he loved you and that’s why he told you to leave him behind, so that you’d be safe.
” You shrugged.
“But if I just-.” He shook his head.
“No buts okay? Just know that he cared about you, just like I do and I promise that I will forever stay by your side.” He took your hands. “I promise.
” You nod slowly and the two of stayed up the rest of the night and into the morning, talking and cuddling.
The next morning Oliver made breakfast for you. You sat on the counter, watching Oliver make pancakes and bacon.
There was already a plate of bacon set out next to you, so when Oli wasn’t looking you swiped a piece. He turned back around, just in time to see you scarfing down the greasy goodness.
“Did you just..?” He gestures to the plate and you grin. He rolls his eyes, holding onto your hips softly.
“Thought I told you not to eat any of the bacon until the pancakes were done?” He questioned. You shrugged.
“Looks like I didn’t listen, did I?” You giggled as he started to tickle you, a rare smile on his face. He stopped, his lips just inches from yours. “Hi.” You giggled.
He chuckled, placing his lips onto yours ever so gently. You smiled pulling him closer to you.
“You know, I think I solved all my bad dreams.” You mumbled against his lips. He quirked an eyebrow. “It’s you, you’re always there to help me through the nightmares.” Oliver smiled.
“I’ll always be there for you, Y/N, I promise.”
