In a blank stare where fire alarms went off in my head.
I know I had seen you somewhere, maybe in another reality in Space..
My hands suddenly got clammy and warm, like they did on the nights we slept together.
And it felt like my lungs weren't caving in and like my chest wasn't hollow.
And it wasn't cause of smoke.
I knew I'd seen you before and it all came back through kissing ribs.
From the nights on the couch,
To the days on the bench.
Though I left again to somewhere new. I hope you remember me as you did a few hours ago.
Though I am surprised that you didn't try to hold my hand.
