The Falling Skyscraper ✨

And then the high went crashing down

And with it went every smile, every laugh, proving it to be temporary

But, pain is perpetual

Some artists sit in parks and admire God’s creations

Painting and writing about the raw beauty that thrives around them

But I ain’t that kind of artist

I prefer to sit in ghost towns

My sketchbooks are filled with collapsing skyscrapers

I capture every moment before they’re completely demolished

Or before the perpetual pain eats me alive

The blackhole in my chest is growing larger and faster

You prescribe me with happy pills and marijuana

But what happens when the high comes down?

Pain is perpetual
